The 128-page book is a pictorial history of Union County. It features an introduction and insights into community life, military, economics, education and sports. Formed from the land once inhabited by the Cherokees, Union County, Georgia was created in 1832.

Many residents of Union County were born, raised and stayed in Union County their entire lives. Many residents were born and raised in Union, moved away, then returned years later to once again call the North Georgia Mountains home. Many residents with no roots in Union County moved here and made it their home. This book celebrates the blend of residents and celebrates their accomplishments.
