In the Heart of the majestic and beautiful North Georgia Mountains, located in the Southern Appalachia on the northern boundary of Georgia, Union County was at one time a remote wilderness. The residents of years-gone-by had the character ics of resourcefulness, independence, and a willingness to work hard. They lived in a wholesome community with old fashioned values.
